Customize & Extend
Plug-In architecture allows the PlantLog CMMS to be extended to meet customer specific requirements.
External System Integration
Most facilities use multiple CMMS and ERP software packages to help manage their operations. This can cause data fragmentation that often requires facility engineers to interact with multiple software packages in order to perform a specific task. This can reduce efficiency through double data entry and increased human error. Finally, accurate analysis of facility conditions are hindered since critical data can be stored in several locations.
A custom Plug-In developed by our expert staff can solve these issues through direct integration with third party software right from within PlantLog. This can be used to read data from the third party software and allow it to be manipulated within PlantLog. Later, the modified data can be written back into the third party software as if it was entered manually by a user.
A common example would be for PlantLog to integrate with a third party work order system. Open work order records could be read in by PlantLog and engineers could then use the PlantLog Mobile Devices to track the details related to the work request. Finally, completed work requests modified in PlantLog could then be transferred back into the work order system without the need to directly interact with the third party software.

Custom Reports
Filing reports to internal departments or to regulatory agencies can be a daunting task that is usually redundant, time consuming and error prone. Often, information must be aggregated from multiple sources and then compiled with number crunching to generate a final report.
Custom report Plug-Ins can be developed to streamline this process and automate the creation of reports that are exactly identical to the manually compiled reports or in most cases far superior. Custom report Plug-Ins can also include user defined options specific to the report as well as pull data into the report from multiple sources. Finalized reports can be viewed within the PlantLog Report Center, exported to Adobe PDF or Microsoft Excel files or directly saved into a location specified by the user.
Some examples of custom reports can include internal document management and process improvement initiatives or the filing of health, safety or environmental reports to external regulatory agencies.
