Version 3.0 (NOV 3 2008)

Expanded Reporting: Completely redesigned Report Center that provides 12 new reports for data analysis with new report types to follow in later releases. Reports allow users to make customizations on what type of information will be outputted and allow users to have reports memorized for later access as well as the ability to export any report to an Adobe Acrobat PDF document.

Journals: New journal feature that allow text based records to be used for such things as operator logbooks , visitor logins, maintenance records etc. A journal record can be assigned to any group that was defined in PlantLog Admin and then be tagged with a entry type that identifies the category of the journal record. Users can use the PlantLog Desktop application to enter records as needed and can also modify the date and time to have the record reflect the time an actual event took place.

Plug-In Architecture: Plug-In architecture to allow the PlantLog software to extend past its core functionality by providing the ability for Vorpalware to develop client specific customizations such as custom reports for data analysis as well as custom synchronization behaviors for automatic data import/export to external database systems.

System Schedules: Ability to assign a recurring schedule to any system which then allows teams to be reminded when inspections or other activities are due. PlantLog Mobile will allow users to view only systems that are scheduled and currently due and a new Schedule Overview report provides an outlook of upcoming system due dates.

Subgroups: Ability to now define groups that are sub groups of a parent group for a finer level of data organization. Subgroups can extend to 3 levels below the root parent group.

New Embedded Database Engine: Completely new embedded SQL database engine to provide significantly faster data access speeds as well as robustness capabilities such as transactions and automatic rollbacks.

Automatic Update: New automatic update mechanism to vastly improve the time required in updating the PlantLog solution to a higher version. Update process now requires only a single program to be executed, which will then propagate the update to all PC workstations and PDA's that run the PlantLog software.

Subscription Based Licensing: Ability for new customers to license the PlantLog software solution on a monthly subscription basis rather than purchasing a one time perpetual license.
